ln Greek mythology, the Moirai —often known in English as the Fates— were the incarnations of destiny. It was assumed that they were three: Clotho, who spun the thread of life, Lachesis who measured the thread of life allotted to each person and Atropos who was the cutter of the thread of life. But actually there was one more, Lean, who hid with a green cloth the thread of life. This way we could live with hope as we don’t know the length of the thread of our lives.

The words Anam Cara (Amcara) are Celtic for “friend of my soul” and represent a friendship that transcend time and distance. Hope, the Lean’s green cloth, would be our Anam Cara throughout our lifetime
